'A modular furniture and signage system'
This modular furniture and signage system consists of a scalable set of furniture and a magnetic guidance system. Its use aims on openness and flexibility, not only within
itself but also in relation to its surroundings. Tabletops can be used vertically as a magnetic pin board or horizontally as tables. The side walls of the stool/shelving system
are magnetic. Several stools stacked on top of each other create a bookshelf. All elements relate to each others in format and share the same proportions, which makes them
easy to combine in a variety of ways.
This proposal was realized as a collaboration between HEIDE & VON BECKERATH and Manuel Raeder, for the shortlist of the architectural corporate design of the Goethe Institut world wide, 2009.
