Design, editing and concept of the book 'Kitty Kraus' in collaboration with the artist.
Kitty Kraus’s works reassess the vocabulary of classic Minimal Art. She constructs fragile, often ephemeral sculptures from glass and mirrors, light, ice and suit cloth, that oscillate between the creation and the dissolution of forms. In the sharp edges of Kraus' glass panes, and in her new body of works, rotating shopping cart handle bars suggest implicit or actual physical danger and exemplify the stringent and striking combination of beauty and risk essential to Kraus' reduced aesthetic.
In 2008 Kitty Kraus was awarded the Blue-Orange-Prize. This catalogue with black ink flowing through the book, is available via Galerie Neu or Kerber Verlag.
